What parts make up a Thule WingBar Evo set?

The Thule WingBar Evo roof bar system requires four separate parts to enable you to assemble the full kit. They include the solid bars that sit across the top of your car, the feet to attach the bar to sides of your car roof, a fitting kit that enables you to put the kit together securely and locks to secure the roof bar system into place and to remove the bars when not in use. To take the hassle away from finding what those parts are, we’ve created Thule WingBar Evo bundles that fit a range of car makes and models. All you need to do is pop your car registration into the yellow box at the top of the page and we’ll list all the roof bar bundles that are tailored to fit your car.

What colours does the Thule WingBar Evo come in?

The Thule WingBar Evo is available in silver or black, so you can choose a colour that complements your car colour scheme and matching carriers.

How much can a Thule WingBar Evo carry on the roof of my car?

The Thule WingBar Evo can carry up to 75kg worth of weight when the car is in motion, the BoxBeam internal structure creates a remarkably strong roof rack. We also recommend checking your car manufacturer guide to double check that your vehicle can also manage this much load when on the road, if this is less than 75kg you can still use the Thule WingBar Evo roof bar system but we’d recommend following the lower load if your car manufacture recommends it.

What can I attach to my Thule WingBar Evo roof bars?

Most people use their Thule WingBar Evo roof bars to transport luggage, cargo or sports equipment on the top of their cars. You can connect car roof boxes, bike racks, kayak carriers and much more. Thule WingBar Evo roof bars have an upper t-track with a QuickAccess interface that allows for a smooth installation and removal of car travel accessories. Carrying bulky items on top of your car is a great way to maximise space within the interior, giving room to passengers and smaller items of luggage.

Can I buy the parts for a Thule WingBar Evo individually?

If you’ve done your research and know the roof bar width, the feet pack sizes, the correct fitting kit and locks to put together the system yourself you can build your own package (although buying our pre-built sets will be the more affordable option). However, if you’ve recently invested in a new car and want to use your existing Thule WingBar Evo roof bars on it then you could potentially carry some of those parts over and replace the elements that are missing. Get in touch with us if this is the case and we’ll be able to advise what parts fit your new vehicle and if any current parts can be used on it. Moreover, if an existing part is damaged, we sell the parts individually so you don’t have to fork out for a new roof bar system again.

Are Thule WingBar Evo roof bars noisy?

Thule WingBar Evo roof bars are one of the quietest roof rack systems on the market, Thule have invested in WingDiffuser technology that disturbs the airflow in the gap that runs between your car roof and the bottom of the roof bars. This reduces noise drastically and has been known to improve fuel economy efficiency.
