FAQs
What Thule roof racks fit my car?
The easiest way to check which Thule roof bars fit your vehicle is by using our vehicle registration lookup tool at the top of the page. Simply enter your reg and we’ll filter the compatible options for your exact make, model and roof type, helping you buy with confidence.
Thule bars are produced in different lengths and paired with vehicle-specific fitting kits, so there’s usually a tailored solution available. You can purchase complete kits for convenience or buy individual bars and fitting kits separately if you’re upgrading or reusing existing components.
For a more detailed breakdown of roof types, bar options and how to choose the right setup, see our Thule Roof Bars Buying Guide.
How easy is it to install them?
Each Thule bundle includes vehicle-specific fitting instructions, which are also available to download as a PDF on the product page. First-time installation typically takes around 20–30 minutes, as it’s important to carefully follow the guide and familiarise yourself with the components.
Once fitted correctly, the bars can remain on your vehicle or be easily removed when not in use. After your initial setup, refitting usually takes just 5–10 minutes. We also offer cover kits to protect fitted brackets when the bars are removed.
Why are Thule roof bars so popular?
Thule is widely recognised as a premium brand in roof bars and travel accessories, known for its Swedish design, durability and safety standards. Customers value their strength, reliability and long-term performance.
While they sit at a higher price point, the build quality and refined design make them a worthwhile investment, particularly for regular travellers, outdoor enthusiasts and families who rely on their roof bars year-round.
